  • Oscar Contreras is an Actor with over 19 years of experience in Commercial, Television, Industrial and voiceover work.  Born in Mexico, Oscar’s bi-lingual status has kept him busy as an actor. He is a graduate of KD Studio Actors Conservatory of the Southwest where he earned his Associates degree in Theatre Arts.  Highly proficient on the teleprompter, Oscar has worked on many industrial shoots for a wide range of companies filming in both English and Spanish. He has also appeared in numerous International, National and Regional commercials.  On television, Oscar has appeared in the USA Network original series “Queen of the South” in the recurring role of Ricardo Puentes.  Other than acting, Oscar’s other passion is studying and creating Mexico’s tradition of paper-based sculptures known as Cartoneria. Oscar is the founder of El Chamuco Art, which serves to create, preserve, and educate on the art form of Cartoneria.
