    Akron Watson

Akron Watson, a native of Dallas, TX, is an experienced, trained, and gifted singer, actor, writer, and dancer. Under the guidance of esteemed film, theater, and voice-over colleagues, he has given stellar performances in musicals and plays, such The Full Monty, Ain’t Misbehavin, Kismet, The Black Nativity, Once On This Island, Alice In Wonderland, Gem Of The Ocean, A Lesson Before Dying, The Shipment, Lobby Hero, and Romeo & Juliet. In 2011, he played the coveted role of Tom Robinson in To Kill A Mockingbird at the nationally recognized, critically-acclaimed Dallas Theater Center. He has an extensive resume in film, TV, and commercials as well, including feature/principal roles with Heineken, Wingstop, Toyota, Friday Night Lights, and NBC’s Chase. He’s starring in lead film roles in the upcoming feature films Seasons of Gray and Spilt Milk, also starring Jake Johnson and The Bold and The Beautiful’s Kim Matula. He’s even been featured on American Idol where he received his golden ticket and made his way to Hollywood before suffering from one of the most bizarre mishaps in reality-television history (Google him). From being a radio personality on one of the most celebrated stations in his region with K104FM, to singing, acting and dancing on countless stages across the country, he’s doing it all, and he’s doing it all well!
